Different concerns, different approaches

What would you like to improve?

Loose skin, fine lines, uneven colour and texture may need different treatments. Sometimes a combination is appropriate. Your clinician can explain which of the options below may suit your skin.

01 · Firmness & contour

Mild loose skin on the face or neck

Focused ultrasound with Ultraformer MPT may be considered for selected mild-to-moderate laxity around the face, jawline or neck. Suitability depends on your anatomy, skin thickness and degree of laxity.

Non-surgical tightening is not a substitute for surgery. More advanced laxity or volume loss may need a different approach.

02 · Lines & texture

Fine lines, wrinkles and uneven texture

Laser resurfacing, including UltraClear, may be considered for selected fine lines, wrinkles and textural changes. The treatment mode and intensity are selected for the concern, skin type and planned recovery.

Not every wrinkle has the same cause. Your assessment helps distinguish skin-surface changes from concerns that may need another treatment.

03 · Skin tone

Sun damage, pigmentation or redness

Uneven colour needs a diagnosis before a device is chosen. PicoWay and BBL HERO are used for selected pigmentation concerns; BBL HERO and Excel V+ are also used for selected redness and visible vessels.

Melasma has its own treatment considerations. If your main concern is pigmentation or melasma, start with the more specific information below.

A new, changing or concerning spot needs medical assessment before cosmetic treatment. Visit Skin Specialist Centre for lesion assessment.

Before choosing a treatment

Plan around your skin and your recovery.

A lighter treatment and a deeper resurfacing procedure do not have the same recovery. Ask about likely benefits, limitations, risks, aftercare and alternatives before deciding.

Suitability first
Your skin type, medical history, previous treatments and the concern being treated guide the plan. No single device is suitable for everyone.
Recovery depends on the treatment
Temporary redness, swelling or tenderness can occur. Resurfacing may also involve peeling and a longer recovery, depending on the treatment depth and intensity.
Individual results and treatment plans
Improvement and the number of sessions vary. Your clinician can explain whether a course, a staged combination or maintenance may be appropriate.

Meet the people behind your care

Dermatologist-directed care, with a plan for you.

Our team includes specialist dermatologists, registered nurses and a dermal therapist. The appropriate clinician and treatment pathway depend on your concern.

You can read about our clinicians’ qualifications and experience before enquiring. Reception can help arrange the appropriate consultation.

Before you enquire

Do I need to know which machine I want?

No. Tell us what bothers you and which area you would like assessed. A consultation is the place to discuss suitable options, including whether treatment is appropriate at all.

Are skin tightening and laser resurfacing the same?

No. They address different aspects of skin ageing. Focused ultrasound may be considered for selected laxity, while resurfacing can address selected surface changes such as texture and fine lines. Your assessment helps identify the main concern and appropriate approach.

Can you promise no downtime?

No. Recovery varies with your skin, the area treated, the device and the treatment settings. Your clinician will discuss expected recovery and aftercare before treatment. Let the team know about work commitments or an upcoming event when you discuss your options.

Not sure where to start?

Ask about your concern. You do not need to select a device.
