Dr Aravind Chandran
Dr Aravind Chandran (MBChB, FRACP, FNZDS) is a dermatologist specialising in medical, surgical, and laser dermatology. He graduated from The University of Leeds, School of Medicine in the United Kingdom. After moving to New Zealand, Dr Chandran gained valuable experience in general medicine in Hawke's Bay and Auckland.

Dr Aravind completed his dermatology training in Auckland and Waikato, followed by a Dermatology Fellowship at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust in the UK. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a New Zealand specialist board-registered dermatologist, Dr Chandran brings extensive expertise to the Skin Specialist Centre.
Dr Chandran currently serves as a Consultant Dermatologist at Auckland City Hospital and the Skin Specialist Centre in Remuera. He is deeply committed to medical education, supervising dermatology trainees, junior doctors, and medical students in New Zealand. Additionally, he holds an honorary senior lectureship at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland.
Dr Aravind also specialises in cosmetic dermatology, including scar management and laser treatments.
Dr Aravind also specialises in treating conditions such as acne, rosacea, hyperhidrosis, psoriasis including biologic treatments, eczema, and disorders of pigmentation.
