ETHEREA® MX PRODEEP
Etherea® ProDeep is a non-ablative fractional 1340 nm Nd:YAP laser used for selected scar and skin-texture concerns.
It delivers controlled microthermal energy in a fractional pattern within the dermis. This may support gradual collagen remodelling; suitability, settings, recovery and results vary between patients.
ProDeep targets the dermis while leaving much of the skin surface intact. It may be considered for selected atrophic acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks and textural concerns after assessment. Improvement develops gradually and often requires a course of treatment; recovery varies with the settings and treatment area.
Etherea® MX is a multi-platform system with different handpieces for different purposes. This page specifically describes the ProDeep 1340 nm non-ablative fractional handpiece; claims for other Etherea handpieces do not automatically apply to ProDeep. The Science Behind Etherea® ProDeep
The 1340 nm Nd:YAP wavelength is absorbed by water within dermal tissue, allowing controlled thermal delivery below the skin surface.
ProDeep delivers this energy in a fractional pattern. In suitable patients, the resulting treatment zones may support gradual collagen remodelling without ablating the full skin surface.
Fractional Microthermal Architecture
ProDeep delivers energy in a fractional pattern, creating microscopic treatment zones surrounded by untreated tissue.
This approach leaves much of the skin surface intact. Redness, swelling, tenderness and other temporary effects can still occur, and recovery varies with the treatment area and settings.
Collagen Remodelling & Structural Renewal
Controlled dermal heating may stimulate a wound-healing response and gradual collagen remodelling.
In selected patients this may improve the appearance of atrophic acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks or uneven texture. The degree and timing of improvement vary, and combination treatment may be recommended.
