ETHEREA® MX PRODEEP

Etherea® ProDeep is an advanced non-ablative fractional 1340 nm Nd:YAP laser designed to stimulate deep dermal regeneration without surface ablation.

The Science Behind Etherea® ProDeep

The 1340 nm Nd:YAP wavelength has a strong affinity for water within dermal tissue, allowing controlled thermal delivery into the structural layers of the skin while minimising epidermal disruption.

This selective dermal heating enables collagen stimulation at depth — without ablating or vaporising the skin surface — making it ideal for structural remodelling and scar rehabilitation.

How It Operates

ProDeep (1340 nm Nd:YAP) is a non-ablative fractional laser that delivers controlled thermal energy into the dermis without ablating the skin surface. Compared with other non-ablative fractional lasers such as 1540/1550 nm Er:Glass, it is similarly used for collagen stimulation, acne scarring, stretch marks, and textural improvement, with minimal downtime and progressive remodelling over multiple sessions. Compared with 1927 nm thulium, ProDeep targets deeper dermal structures and is more suited to structural remodelling rather than predominantly superficial pigmentation concerns.

Compared with ablative fractional lasers such as CO₂ and Er:YAG, it offers a gentler recovery profile with less epidermal disruption, although ablative lasers may achieve more aggressive resurfacing in severe cases. For this reason, ProDeep is often used within a layered laser treatment strategy, where different devices are chosen to treat different depths and features of the skin.
